Fall Ball

• The season game standings are in.

  • Congratulations to all the players for a great Fall season. We hope to see you all on the ballfields in the Spring!
• Playoffs are completed.

  • Majors
    • The first round had three very close games. Even though the temps had us all shivering, the players gave their all. One game even went into extra innings before it was settled 5-4 between Holbrook and Anderson Remodeling with a walk-off home-run in the bottom of the 9th. Good job and congratulations to the Round 1 winners!
    • Round 2 had a very well pitched game on both sides between Hanson and Holbrook that ended 2-1 knocking out Hanson.

All-Star Season
The All-Star Season is finished for 2008. Check the "All-Stars" section for each teams schedules and scores

• Congratulations to the 9A team for winning the Semi-finals against Holbrook/Avon with a score of 17 - 0. The Finals will be on 8/14 in Abington
  • Nikko Raftes pitched four innings of shutout ball
  • John Murphy and Jared Spillane preserved the shutout
  • Update 8/14: Whitman wins the championship over Abington with a score of 19 - 15.
    • Tim Decouto went 5 for 6
    • Eddie George went 5 for 6
    • Jared Spilanne went 4 for 5
    • Whitman 9A are the 2008 9A District 8 Champions!

• Congratulations to the 12B Red team for winning round two against Sharon with a score of 11 - 1. Round three (semi-finals) is to be played on Tuesday 8/12 @ the Town Park at 5:45PM.
  • Update 8/12: Whitman won the Semi-Final Round over Middleboro with a score of 1 - 0.
    • Jake Walkins pitched well for Whitman.
    • Final Round will be Wednesday 8/13 @ the Town Park at 5:45PM.
  • Update 8/13: Whitman wins the championship over Braintree 2 - 0.
    • Whitman 12B Red are the 2008 12B District 8 Champions!

• Congratulations to the 10B Black team for winning the 10B District 8 Finals over Rockland with a score of 9 - 4.
  • Tim Holland pitched a complete game
    

Stoughton Tournament
Whitman will be well represented in the Stoughton Baseball Tournament this weekend. Come on down and cheer us on! More information can be found on the Stoughton Little League website. Good luck to all our teams!

• August 2nd
  Congratulations to the Whitman 12B Black team for their win (12 - 0) against Stoughton National. Pretorius pitched no-hitter (5 innings).
• August 2nd
  Congratulations to the Whitman 12B Red team for their win over Downey 11 - 4. This win puts them in the playoffs as the 3rd seed. Good luck in the playoffs!
• August 1st
  Congratulations to the Whitman 12B Red team who won 6 - 5 over Holbrook National. The winning run was scored with 2 outs in the bottom of the 6th.
• July 31st
  Congratulations to the 11B team who won 3 - 2 over Stoughton National.
  

West Bridgewater Tournament

July 22nd - CONGRATULATIONS to the 10A team for taking Second Place in the West Bridgewater Tournament

The West Bridgewater tournament began  on 7/4 and ended on 7/22. Our record was 5 wins 1 loss going into the championship round, best 2 out of 3. Whitman lost to Bridgewater in the championship round
