- Congratulations to Tool & Die, the 2009 Minor League Champions
- They went undefeated for the entire season finishing with a 16 - 0 record

- Our Summer Splash Softball Tournament will be held June 26th thru June 28th

- Opening Day will be on April 18, 2009
- The WBSA is asking all parents to donate a 12 pack of soda, gatorade or water to the league to be brought to the parade. This generous donation of beverages helps jump start our concession stands.
- Players 12 and under will be marching in the Opening Day Parade @ 8:30am Saturday, April 18th. The parade starts at the Holy Ghost Church and finishes at the Town Park.
- A MANDATORY Coaches Meeting will be held on Sunday, April 5, 2009 @ 6:00pm at the Whitman Knights of Columbus.
- League Directors will be in contact with all 2009 Coaches prior to this meeting
- If you have not been chosen as a coach for the 2009 season, you do not have to attend this meeting
- Spring tryout date will be Saturday,March 21, 2009 @ 9:00am at the Town Park.
- Rain date will be Saturday March 28, 2009 @ 9:00am at the Town Park
- All 10 & 11 year olds must have attended either the fall tryout or attend the spring tryout. These tryouts are for placement to major or Minor league teams
- All 12 year olds who are not already on a major league team must also attend tryouts
- If you are a 12 year old and are not planning on going to the Majors, you must have the waiver turned in before March 7, 2009. The waivers need to be sent to the District office for final approval
- The 2009 Umpire Clinic will be on Sunday, March 1, 2009 & Saturday, March 28, 2009. They will be from 9:00am to 11:00am each day and will be held at the Whitman Knights of Columbus. These are mandatory clinics for all umpires.
- The 2009 registration fees and forms are now online.
- Registration dates have been set.
- A new online registration form is now available
- The form fills in an official registration form for printing
- It calculates league age automatically
- It allows you to pay online with any major credit/debit card or with a PayPal account
- Whitman Food Pantry
- The WBSA will be taking donations of canned goods throughout the season to help the Whitman Food Pantry. Please help us support this very valuable organization in our community
- The Food Pantry helps an estimated 1,000 families in Whitman each year
