WBSA Fall Ball Rules and Information Sheet
(for Coaches)


Rules
The Major League division will use the Official Little League rule books. All team managers should be aware of the Official Little League rule book and their copy of this Information Sheet. The appropriate rule books are listed below, and each team will be supplied a book.

Farm division: Little League/Farm League Rule Book
Major/Minor division: Official Little League Rule Book

Batting: Full Roster
Continuous batting order is mandatory at all levels, except juniors, where it is optional for both teams.

Division Standings
Division standings will be computed by a won-lost completed record first then the tie breaker will be head to head wins and losses, and then total runs allowed.

Games: Complete
Any game which is called after four (4) full innings (3½ innings for home team, if winning) have been played, will be considered a complete game (see: Little League rules 4.10 and 4.11). 

Games: Makeup
Games may need to be postponed due to weather, or because a team does not have enough players. It is the responsibility of the team managers to reschedule every postponed game. The makeup date must be decided upon within 24 hours of the postponement. The Director must be notified when a game has been postponed and rescheduled. Each team is allowed one “free” postponement which is not weather-related. Any subsequent postponements, not weather-related, will result in an automatic forfeit.

Pitching:
A player may pitch up to 4 innings in a game and no more than 6 total in back to back games, and may not exceed the Little League pitch count. A pitcher may not pitch in more than one game in a day. (A pitcher can only pitch in one game of a double header, regardless of pitch count)Pitch count rest requirements apply.(see rule book for pitch count totals and rest requirements)  If a pitcher pitches 41 pitches or more they can not take the position of catcher for the remainder of that game.  If a player plays catcher for 4 or more innings they cannot pitch for the rest of that game.

No curveballs, sliders, screwballs (pitches that turn the wrist) etc…
Fastballs, change-ups, knuckleballs are allowed.

Scores: Reporting
Please report the score to the league director as well as the wbsall.com webmaster each week.

Scores: Slaughter Rule
The Farm division will have a 10 batter limit in every inning, except the last inning. For other divisions, the official Little League Rule applies, if the home team is ahead or one team has the lead of ten (10) after 4 full innings, 3 ½ for home team.

Stealing
Majors-players may not lead but may steal any base after the ball has crossed home plate.
*Farm-advancing to second and third only, no advancing home

Playoffs:
All Teams will make the playoffs, and the games will be scheduled at the conclusion of the season

All rules not specified in this sheet
will be subject to the offical little league rule book
